Cover
The cover of the folio shows the panorama of the city, seen from the waterfront; in the foreground, you can see the liner "Bremen" leave, and a stern trawler come in.
Seute Deern
"Seute Deern" and "Elbe 3" are the first ships of the open air shipping museum in the "Alten Haven" (Old Harbor); later on they will be joined by a submarine from the last World War, and by several typical fishing vessels of the past.
Weser Dike
The high Weser Dike is Bremerhaven's favorite sea promenade leading to Columbus Quay, the "Gateway to Overseas", where also the world's fastest passenger liner, the "United States" is a steady guest (left front).
Bremen liner
The 32,000-GRT liner "Bremen", the flag ship of the North German Lloyd, has tied up at the pier of the "Station by the Sea". several passenger liners can be dispatched simultaneously on the 1,000m long quay, and several thousand passengers can be processed in the large passenger halls.
Ferry
The North-Sea ferry between Bremerhaven and Harwich-London strengthens the bonds between England and Germany. The Ferry "Prins Hamlet" can carry 1,200 passengers and 150 cars.
