"There is now a section of the Autobahn that runs just east of the city, the A27. It connects Cuxhaven to Bremen with several exits for Bremerhaven. They are building a tunnel under the Wesser about 10 miles south of town and should be ready in about a year. The cell phones there are called "Handy phone" everyone has them. A hot new car is called the "SmartCar". It's smaller than a Morris Mini! The kids ride their skate boards and spray graffiti as they do here. If you would enjoy visiting a really nice restaurant, try "Pott un Pann" - 130 Lange Strasse. The cuisine is German and the prices reasonable. They say "you can never go back", the Base is gone, the city has changed, but it was a very enjoyable visit none the less." - Bill Hurst CTM3
