Fitting out quay
The fishing vessels are overhauled at the fitting-out quay and supplied with provisions, fuels, fishing gear and ice for the next fishing trip
Shipyard
Cargo vessels, tankers, passenger liners, trawlers, tugs and other special ships of all types - such as the research vessel "Meteor" (left front) - are being build on the building berths and in the docks of the seven Bremerhaven ship building yards.
Tug boat
A new tug is going into operation, as seen before the background of a ship building yard. A new salvage vessel is under construction in Bremerhaven; with her 17,000 HP output, she will be the largest salvage ship in the world.
Zoo
The "Tiegrotten", Bremerhaven's zoo, with its North-Sea Aquarium attracts many visitors; it is frequented by hundreds of thousands of people each year.
