A three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. was on display at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from Friday, June 6, through Sunday, June 8, 2003.

This memorial honors the more than 58,000 U.S. dead and missing-in-action who sacrificed their lives in defending our nation.

A POW flag flies atop the U.S. Customs
House in New Bedford. It has been flown
daily since last year and represents all
prisoners and soldiers missing in action
from all wars.
