This was taken on the door step of their rented apartment in Los Gatos. My Dad had received his orders to report to the Mansfield. Phillips90s
This a picture of my Dad and Mom (Barbara) during a very happy time in their life as Dad was retiring and they were both in Hawaii, a place where they both loved VERY much.

I’m unclear what is happening in these five photographs – It looks like my dad is receiving a campaign medal or maybe it’s a commendation medal – the purpose of the presentation is still unclear. My guess is that this is also Captain McGillicuddy presenting this to my father.
