"These are photographs of our old ship after 200+ hours of most enjoyable assembly work, with constant thoughts and reminders. The configuration is circa 1952/53 with the 40mm secondary and prior to the 3-inch conversion. Having spent 1000 days aboard and perhaps, a couple of thousand hours on watch, mostly on the Bridge and in CIC, it was interesting that the memories retained are totally pleasant." |
