Me and my first bike, a Zuendapp 200cc which I bought from Joe Theis CT2 for $200. Later sold to Bob Haines CT2. He got a ticket for parking it behind the WAC barracks on Sat. morning before the sale was final. This was credited to me and became my 3rd parking ticket and got me a Captain's Mast, which resulted in suspension of license and restriction for two weeks! Thanks again Robert if you're out there! |
My 'last bike', which I had shipped home. It was a Victoria Bergmeister 350cc. I traded it in on a '56 Ford...wish I had it back! |
The SS United States on one of her visits to Bremerhaven. The America also docked there back in the days of sea travel. |
For all you basketball fans. That's 'Big John' Marshall who just took the shot. Any I.D.'s on the others out there? |
Army/Navy(?) game at the Staging Area. I frankly don't remember being at this game. I think Lou Gianelli played on the Navy team. |
Vernon in front of St. Paul's church on Hafenstrasse. John Marshall and Annagret got married there. |
This is the old bombed out church just off Hafenstraasse. They build a 'skyscraper' just down the street from it. |
Don't remember if this was in Bremen or Bremerhaven. The Nordsee Zeitung (newspaper) office on the left. Look at the bicycles, remember? |
Rickmerstrasse across from the Oceana Bar. Strassenbahn and Volkswagens, wow! |
At the Army Bus Stop on Rickmerstrasse looking toward Hafenstrasse. Look at the cool Mercedes! |
