HERE'S JOEY!

ABC TV personality Joey Bishop and regulars from his network television program to the MANSFIELD for a farewell show just prior to deployment.

Joey brought singers Kathy Taylor, Mel Bishop, and comedian Leonard Barr to the MANSFIELD for the show.

The performance was arranged after Bishop gave four tickets to his program each night to MANSFIELD crew members throughout August and September.

He was presented a framed picture of the ship, a ship's plaque, and was made an honorary member of the crew.
